It's booming;
Single-family new house construction building permits:
1996: 13 buildings, average cost: $39,400
1997: 14 buildings, average cost: $39,400
1998: 14 buildings, average cost: $39,400
1999: 15 buildings, average cost: $39,400
2000: 13 buildings, average cost: $39,400
2001: 13 buildings, average cost: $39,400
2002: 14 buildings, average cost: $39,400
2003: 15 buildings, average cost: $39,400
Those numbers sound like a fairy tale to me.

Bayfest kicked off today at noon. They have music lined up for everyone. Soul, gospel and for the rednecks a real treat! Cletus T. Judge. Boy I can't wait to get my tickets. They have blocked off the MAIN part of town for this goat roping. Enough blacks here to shoot Zulu a few times. But I think the mayor made a bad pc call. He forgot the Mariachi Band doing the EL Rancho grande thing. Maybe they don't have the votes yet? Anyway If I get up and go to old car show, which is only 1/2 block away I'll post photos. Some great cars there.
