Probably a good idea, but a pain in the ass.

They're stupid. The gist of it, that I got early on, was that if you fall asleep and your cig falls into your couch...it could take hours for the smoldering to cause an all-out fire. The asbestos strips are put into the paper in intervals. (yeah, not really asbestos but who knows) to make the cig go out.

My feeling? If you're falling asleep with a cigarette burning in your couch, well...Darwinism, ya know?

They do taste different. They go out then you burn your head off and put holes in your shirts trying to relight.

To me, they're thinking "fuck them, they're smokers. What's one more chemical?"

Yeah, I might quit soon anyway.

FSCs are a pain in the ass. Unless you're constantly puffing on them, they go out. Then you get the big flame-up and, like Shawnee said, you drop sparks, cinders...whatever and burn shit up.

Thankfully, my last cigarette was 8 days ago.

That's awesome, dmg.

I want to quit. Not because I want to improve, but because it's too expensive.

In fact, I smoke MORE when they pull crap like FSCs and "sin" taxes (and because I throw it in every chance I get where are the "sin" taxes on freaking Quarter-Pounders and fries?) out of spite. I know I'm only hurting myself, but it FEELS like spite.

I am considering e-cigarettes, less chemicals, less odor, no smoke, all vapor....

Unfortunately I still enjoy smoking, I will not deny that, it is the negative sides I am looking to vanquish.

If you're really concerned about not dying in a fire while you sleep, don't use styrofoam insulation and don't buy a house with engineered wood I-joists. They may be cheap and effective, but trust me they are like nails in the coffin.

The last pack of Winston reds I bought cost $1.03. I said 'There's no way I'm paying a dollar a pack...' Thank God.

When I was in Japan, cigarettes were about $3 to $3.50 a pack, from vending machines. Recognisable brands of scotch could be had for about $60 for 2.2 liters (4.6 pints) in the supermarket. Yet these people live linger than the world average...

Jenny McCarthy has "taken back her freedom"... along with lots of $ to the bank.

Marketing to youth is walking in the same footsteps as the old tobacco ads

"smoke juice" sounds more like something from a spittoon

Traditional cigs are bad because they kill you. Why are these bad?
