Puzzles

You may have developed a hatred for all things bovine with The Cow Puzzle that was posted some time ago, now you can start yelling at tiny stick figures as you try to solve this one:

Hapland Puzzle

The object is to light the two torches. Click on stuff and you'll eventually figure it out.

...maybe.

holy fucking shit.

This is almost worst than thisisnotporn.

How far are you? I can sorta see where the puzzle is headed, but i can't get the right order.

Right now my big frustration is in not killing the guy you fire up to the bell. I haven't spent a lot of time on it, but it only took a few minutes before I knew I had to inflict this torment on other Cellarites.

(Ah, I just figured it out. The timing element in this is going to piss me off, I can tell.)

Yeah, what annoyed me about that part is the subtlety of the action in that scenario (launching the guy up top). A good puzzle is one that requires you to be clever; that just requires you to make a lucky guess.

The little chainsaw dude pissed me off for quite a while. Ugh.

I'm curious if there is more than one way to solve this. I managed to get both torches lit, but it seems a good bit of stuff wasn't used.

As far as making that concrete slab fall, there are two ways of doing that. I don't know what else could be done in alternative fashion.

What's the point of the lightbulb, anyway? I think if you smash the bulb, stick dude won't see the purple card thing when it lands in his hole.

Gah!! This thing is going to kill me.

I'm so far from lighting the torches, that isn't even a goal for me at this point... I can't keep the guy in the house from stepping on the stupid landmine, and I haven't even met the "chainsaw guy" that breakingnews mentioned.

Could you perhaps post the first dozen steps or so, Kitsune, so I at least know I'm on the right track?

Edit: nevermind, I found an internet walkthrough.

There really aren't that many steps involved and getting the torches lit is as simple as getting a stick figure to walk into each of the doors.

The hardest part is, I think, the landmine. You have to get something to smash into it to detonate it. Since I don't think Cellar does ROT13, the answer is in the destination to the link below. Just do a "copy link location" to grab it.

This Link Doesn't Go Anywhere

After that, the rest should be a snap.

Interesting bug: not having a bridge (destroying it by launching a stick figure at it, etc) doesn't prevent the other stick figure from crossing it. He just hovers.

Yes, I noticed this. Interesting glitch in the program.

I have to admit, it's kinda fun launching these guys into the spear and blowing up the one in the cave. Wish there was more you could do though.

Nice puzzle. When you eventually light both torches (with the help of cellaraite clues!) the ending is a bit.... odd.
