A carboy is a big bottle, really big. You've seen them before, I'm certain. Old skool water coolers with the big glass jug inverted on the stand with a spigot? That bottle is a carboy.

Sorry bout your tile V ...
I bought a Carboyat a garage sale many years ago. I used it to keep my spare change with the delusion of taking some grand vacation or or or...
Well, I used it for many years - perhaps a decade even. One day I was moving it and when I grabbed it by the neck and rolled it, the bottom shattered. The change mixed along with the tiny pieces of broken glass spilled all over the carpet.
It was as clean a break as you could imagine. I kept it for awhile thinking I could use it as the largest funnel ever before recycling it.

Hebe got a Junior olympic cut for the 200 freestyle at the "last chance" swim meet today

It's scheduled right between the 400 IM and 200 fly -both of which she stands a chance of getting a State cut for (at Junior olympics). It would be stupid for her to tire herself out in the 200 free.

???

That sounds like... good news?

I don't understand. How many/which/order/whatever races will she be competing in ... ok, I guess this is the part I'm confused about. What meet did she swim at that produced the JO cut for 200 free? And she's going to State finals (??) where she'll swim in ... what races?

I'm sorry. I am not dense, really (excellent positive buoyancy, yarp), I just .. why does this sound like "bad" news?

It's good that she got the cut, but it's bad that it's position in the schedule means she probably won't swim it at the Junior Olympics (which are not as grand as they sound -they are like the consolation/last chance to get a State cut)

She probabaly wont swim it because it's the same day as the 400 IM and the 200 fly which she has also qualified in, and if she swims those well, she might get state cuts in them. the are already pretty close together in the meet, and the 200 free is slotted in between, right before the fly. She will not get a State cut in the free, so it it probably better for her to get more rest before the fly than it would be for her to swim the 200 free.
