A nice list...... I wonder if those cities near the top also have the best thrift stores,etc for finding good analog media

As an expat, I feel the need to note that there are also factors that are affected by where you are coming from. For example, language and cultural differences. The further you are from home on those aspects, the harder your expatriation will be, no matter how fantastic the city. For example, it is mooted that Brits often find it easier to move to France than the US, even if they are not fluent in French, because the cultural norms and body language are more similar, and the French are more familiar with their culture.
