Now that they've released a ransom price for it, maybe it will get out of my news headlines.

For what you are getting, I think it's a great price...cheaper than I thought it would be.

Sure, it will burn fuel like nobody's business...at full throttle. But it's expected to get 20 mpg highway...that's insane for that much hp.

20 mpg is not difficult with a 4500 lb car on 20 inch wheels and an 8 speed torqueflite with a 0.67 8th. I guess the 6 speed manual doesn't do as well because the gas guzzler tax jumps from $1700 with the automatic to $2100 with the stick.
However, the largest impediment to decent mileage is still your right foot, as it seems to grow much heavier when you drive a seriously fast car.
This is a seriously fast car.

I suspect they're losing money on every one they sell. It's a halo vehicle, made to boost brand prestige and showroom traffic, and should do that well.

Marchionne said Dodge is meant to be a performance brand now...he's killing off the Grand Caravan and Avenger, brought the Viper back under Dodge, and now this Hellcat.

I think the whole thing is a gamble...it's hard for me to think of Chrysler and the bread-and-butter brand of FCA, and they keep making a lot of changes. The new cars coming out are looking good though.
