7/7/2003: Low rider
It's a 1979 Chevy El Camino -- what else could it be? -- named "Goldust", at a show called the "Lowrider Experience" at the L.A. sports arena. No word on whether this beast is street-legal - seems like you would need at least a brake pedal and gas pedal for that? |

It's got pedals, they're blocked off for the show. It also has suicide doors.

Those front seats are pretty darn low..If the car was actually meant to be driven, how on earth would you see over the wheel/dashboard while sitting that low?

Look around you while you drive. See how many "cool dudes" have their seat backs reclined or just slouch down so they just barely see out the side window.

With a car that big and plush you would need to post advisory signs warning the public to not come-a-knocking.

All it's missing is the obligatory Virgin Mary medal/figurine/whatever.

Looks like it would be about the safest car in a roll-over accident ever. You'd just kind of bounce around for a little while until the car stops.
