Had a great day here. 13 family and stray friends this afternoon. The only downside was the 250+ miles of round trip driving for me to go pick up Stephen and his fiancee and take them back home after. Yow.

The Macy's parade got Rickrolled...

Had a great day. Lots of really good food. Wasn't sure I would be able to eat any turkey, after seeing all the video with Sarah Palin and turkeys being assassinated right behind her during a press conference. But, I did. and it was DELICIOUS. I was so full, I really wanted to go back for seconds, but I just couldn't. Later on though I went into the kitchen and my brother was in there dipping turkey into the gravy and eating it, so I followed suit. and got stuffed again. I love Thanksgiving.

I had Sphagetti-Os for T-Day.

My big pigout comes Sunday after I get home.

Sorry, Denver folks, no internet to let you know I was there. This situation will be fixed soon!

Mom didn't feel like cooking, so we wound up eating at a local fancy-shmancy resort's holiday buffet. Food was good, but it was overpriced and there's no left-overs.

Maybe I'll make turkey some time next week, after I get home. Turkey, cranberry relish, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans.

Mum wanted me to come online to wish all Merkins a Happy Thanksgiving.
Really, she was quite insistent.
You're lucky I'm on a limited budget, or she'd have expected me to send cards as well.

She was weighing up whether to send Eid cards to the family across the close the other day. I advised against it because she's only going on the colour of their skin (I'm pretty sure they're Pakistani though, and also nominally Muslims) and has no idea whether they celebrate religious occasions. I was pleased by the intention though - she sends Christmas cards to our immediate neighbours, so all she wanted to do was make sure they weren't left out.

Anyway.
Happy Thanksgiving from me too.
I'll think of you all bloated out later today
