Like climbing a tangled dirt rope hanging from the sky

Covered with snow.

The first picture shows a fairly straight part of the trail, with a reassuring guardrail on the left. The rocks in the trail here form very neat steps.

The second picture was well before the halfway point. Please follow the footprints in the snow until they disappear. Where did they go? This is just before one of many switchbacks and you can't see the footprints because they just made a 160 degree turn to the right. Follow the "horizon of the snow off to the right. That's the level of the trail. Up. Unrelentingly UP.

Hehehe....well, the scenery looks gorgeous. It looks like it could be exhilarating to hike that trail.

My first video. I thought at the time it might be my last. SonofV has graciously offered his youtube expertise and allowed me to post the vid. Normally I would have something to say about his editorial comments... but not this time. He's right on target.

I took my pulse *after* the video. 156 bpm. That's an ace away from a heart attack for me.

Whew!

There was slush on the windshield when I pulled away from the curb at home. And as you can see, there was plenty of snow on the ground at the trailhead, and it was still coming down when we started.

I love this second picture. The guys are all looking at the map in silence. The gals are looking at each other and talking.

Okay, I change my mind. I don't think having a near heart attack is so exhilarating anymore.

Bless you!

I did worry that it might be a coded thread title, because things were not good with you.
What a relief to find it's something as simple as a near heart attack

And lovely to see your handsome face.
Moar plz.

a "mild" heart attack-inducing climb is entertainment where you're from?

In Ohio we like to eat potato chips and contemplate the flat, flat land.

From our hammocks.
