Question

Anyone have the Metricom Ricochet Wireless broadband service? The DSL network I use is shortly to cease to exist, and this one seems to be one of the few actually willing to provide me service. Even if it does require a serial or USB connection :-(

Ricochet is good

If you have a laptop that runs 98, NT, or 2000, you are in with the hook-up for 128Kbps wherever you go Internet .

I am considering it for a home/work setup here, so I can use the IBM ThinkPad 770X from work (read: Extremely large DVD Player that runs Windows 2000) in the park when I need to.

It's more reliable than DSL, and you can take it outside. It also doesn't take months to get installed.

Why don't I have it yet?

Mitch
