If you can't trust a GOP legislator, who can you trust ?
Quote:
Whereas the Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 114th Congress
has endeavored to consolidate power and centralize decision-making, bypassing the majority
of the 435 Members of Congress and the people they represent;

Whereas the Speaker has, through inaction, caused the power of Congress to atrophy,
thereby making Congress subservient to the Executive and Judicial branches,
diminishing the voice of the American People;

Whereas the Speaker uses the power of the office to punish Members who
vote according to their conscience instead of the will of the Speaker;

Whereas the Speaker has intentionally provided for voice votes on consequential and
controversial legislation to be taken without notice and with few Members present;

Whereas the Speaker uses the legislative calendar to create crises for the American People,
in order to compel Members to vote for legislation;

Whereas the Speaker does not comply with the spirit of the rules of the House of Representatives,
which provide that Members shall have three days to review legislation before voting;

Whereas the Speaker continues to direct the Rules Committee to limit meaningful amendments,
to limit debate on the House floor, and to subvert a straightforward legislative process; and

Whereas the House of Representatives, to function effectively in the service of all citizens of this country,
requires the service of a Speaker who will endeavor to follow an orderly and inclusive process
without imposing his or her will upon any Member thereof:

Now, therefore, be it Resolved,
That the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives is hereby declared to be vacant.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.)
Former Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee

Why would anyone waste a minute of their life watching so many irrelevant people? Ignore them all. Only look in January 2016 to learn who even has any relevance on this planet.

Meanwhile another did something actually newsworthy today. A Cincinnati prosecutor, known to be very cop friendly, indicted a white cop for assassinating a black man. He was blunt - that cop should have never been a cop. Even the cop’s camera contradicted what the cop said occurred.

If a cop carrying a camera lies, what does that say about extremists who gain power by inflating reality?

Let political nature kill off the ignorant and naive. What will be left after January is then examined. Any discussion about people who cannot help lying is simply a waste of bandwidth and brain matter.

But pls remember, tw, what our most eminent psychologist, Dr Phil, says:

"The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior"

So if you don't watch what they are doing now or have done in the past,
you have no grounds to bitch* when they get elected and continue their ways,
but with more power and less accountability.

For example, Texas has it's current Governor running for President,
who just happens to be under federal indictment for abuse of power.

Ya gotta continue to pay attention to the details...

* You can still bitch... SCOTUS says so.

I will. After January of next year, I will look back at everything Donald Trump said. Then ask why so many wacko extremists love this guy.

Learn from history. We need not watch these hyperbolic actors now. They are only appealing to adults who are still children (and therefore emotional). We can learn everything we need to know about them all by viewing what they said and what therefore results ... 8 months later. What will be left are far fewer extremists and more informed and educated moderates.

Jeb Bush: ‘Anchor babies’ isn’t offensive
Washington Post - Ed O'Keefe - 8/20/15

Quote:
KEENE, N.H. — A feistier, combative Jeb Bush said Thursday
that he doesn't believe the term "anchor babies" is offensive and
blamed Democrats for perpetuating the idea that it's a loaded term.
...
Bush's defense of the term is a sharp departure from how he usually discusses
immigration reform and the broader national debate on the subject.

As a longtime advocate for comprehensive changes to the immigration system,
he speaks out frequently about the need for Republicans
to strike a respectful tone when discussing the issue.
Now this is a brilliant and truly sneaky way for Jeb to launch a drone attack on The Donald.
First Jeb tries to shift the blame the use of the words onto the Democrats.
But the whole concept is GOP-speak for poisoning discussion about immigration.

But even sneakier is the implied threat to Trump, who might be considered to be one, himself.

A republican candidate will pop up with the same positions as trump has had favorable public response to, but without being obnoxious and insulting. Then the Donald will fade.

What if "obnoxious and insulting" are the positions that the public has favorable response to?

Although some people openly admit supporting him, at least at this point, because he's giving the finger to politically correct and the system, I don't think there's enough of them to make him a contender.
