I was thinking something to do with chickens, but it's awfully dainty. It's got an unused hole in one side for putting it on a string, but you didn't do that, so it's not needed. It has a grippy part, but the grippy part is very lame. It couldn't take much force without your fingers slipping. I was thinking some sort of bag or zipper closure. Or maybe a marking tool like a pounce wheel. Also reminds me of those wrapping paper cutters, but there is not enough to grab on to.

You wouldn't by any chance have a picture of the other side?

Not for pastry cutting, or window glazing, or chickens (hee!). Not for closing bags, not a marking tool, not a cutter, not for upholstery, and sorry, the earlier image is the only pic I have of that particular style (that doesn't give it away), but here's an image of a different version that is used for the same purpose:

That profile at the bottom is really specific, like it fits into the lip of a paint can or something.

Some sort of scraper. Like you move it around the lip of a paint can to get the paint back inside. Except the profile is wrong and that rubber spatula at the top doesn't make sense.

I think the spatula part at the top is probably metal - it's described as being a tool to open the paint can.

Dutch Boy's plastic Twist & Pour Paint Delivery System, otherwise known as a paint can, has a twist-off lid, internal pouring spout, and mug handle. Need to remix? Just close, shake, and pour. Initially available for gallon cans of latex-based paints; quarts will soon follow.

It's weird that paint can technology hasn't progressed until now. And frankly, that neat Dutch Boy invention should be an industry standard. Surely the plastic upgrade is cheaper to make than metal cans?
