Please tell me that isn't another hat you're carrying...

King of the hill:

[note: in this picture he is wearing one of Pilau's coats. It is, much to his dismay, an old man coat. I think he looks rather cute. He is wearing it because Sally the Groomer stole his own fur coat, just as the weather tilted to awful.]

Most winter mornings, we walk up to the top field. Not so much in the Summer, because of the cows and, more particularly, the bull. And every time we go up there, we go up onto the little field at the top of the hill. And Carrot always races me to that spot, and then sits there gazing out across the field and valley. I have patience for about ten minutes, with the high winds and rain knocking me about. I'm pretty sure he'd sit up there for an hour, if I let him.

Oh I love it up there. Takes about ten minutes to walk to that spot from my house. And if you stand where Carrot is you can see hills in every direction. Just to the left the ground drops away and you can see Halifax nestled in the bowl, with hills rising up behind and on into the Pennines, just visible in the distance.

Feels very close to the sky up there. Storm clouds rolling across the valley and overhead are very dramatic.

Here's another Carrotchops pic:

The morning after the night before...

En route to the vet. It's funny, he is a handful to get in there, but, he's happy as a clam to get in there post-inspection/treatment...

Carrot is so precious what hat do you mean?
It will be alright Slick kitteh!

Almost like Antarctica here today! -5 45 mile an hr winds. In the shelter of the woods, I in my 'Michelin suit' and Lucas au naturel braving the weather to go feed cows. I remember when I bought those coveralls it was too hot to even try them on [87] > Longing for a little bit of that weather right now!

Here are our two mutts.

One is a very itchy Shih Tzu that completely loves my wife and followers her everywhere.

What breed of dog would you guess that our larger dog is? He has fur sorta like Carrotchops. He's surely a mix of many but what breeds have fur like that? A chow of some type?

Hmm. Not sure. Wouldn't be surprised if there was some Tibetan terrier in the mix.

I would have never guessed Tibetan Terrier but it seems you're correct on that. People here have told us that he's part Japanese Chow but that doesn't seem right.

Wiki

Here's a much better looking TT from the wiki site. Similar to our mutt IMO.

A Dizcat twofer.

- Being cute after having his nails clipped.
- Hypnotised by the real flames in the fake fire.

Love pics of Lucas! Moar please!

Carrot gets nervous when I am holding both my phone and a hat....I do so like taking pics of him in hats :P

@ Pamela: lovely pup!

Here's some pics of Carrotchops.

1st, in his usual spot, looking soulful and all grown up:

Picture quality on this one sucks, but it still made me smile.

Giant dog, or teeny couch?

Or both?

I opened the Post Your Pot thread the other day by mistake.
Spent five long seconds trying to work out what the hairy green creature was...

That's funny.

Here's our mutt in the car with his life vest on. The vest seems to be more comfortable than rigging the leash to his collar when riding in the car.

Plus it's got a handle on the back that I can position him in the seat.
