it's a giant place setting with a giant bottle of rapeseed oil, all to celebrate the rapeseed festival in Adlersburg, Germany. The umbrella is actually a person walking through it all, to give you a concept of scale... |

I'm from Germany, so I know a lot about this. The rapeseed comes from the rape fruit, a bright, cheerful little thing that that is surprisingly sour.
Rape juice is delicious. |

I don't know about that but there was a lot of apparently unfounded paranoia about canola/rapeseed oil on an organics list serve I used to subscribe to. They thought the stuff was totally toxic.
