Y'ever heard the Susanna Hoffs/Matthew Sweet version of "Go All The Way"? The original is one of the foundational songs of power pop, but it takes on an ENTIRELY new meaning when the gal takes the chorus.

Listen closely to how she sings "Don't ever let me go - oh - OH"! And the second time (starting from 2:40) she puts a tiny little tweak at the end of it... then settles into an "ooooooooooo, ohh yeahhhhhh"...
She knew what she was doing. But damn, too, she's such a great singer. |
