July 12th, 2019 : Computer

The white Zeppelin looking, camera hogging blob is a grain of rice.
The thing the rice is dwarfing is an itty bitty computer.

This computer measures 0.33mm (0.013 in) on each side!
According to my pal Google: "Currently, the tiny computer serves as a precision temperature sensor. It uses electronic pulses to convert temperatures into timed intervals. The result, for example, is the ability to report temperatures in a cluster of cells within a tumor with an error rate of around 0.1 degrees Celsius. 'Since the temperature sensor is small and biocompatible, we can implant it into a mouse and cancer cells grow around it,' said Gary Luker, a professor of radiology and biomedical engineering. 'We are using this temperature sensor to investigate variations in temperature within a tumor versus normal tissue and if we can use changes in temperature to determine success or failure of therapy.'

Seems like you wouldn't want it to make cancer grow. I thought we were trying to avoid that.

They want it to grow in lab critters so they can study how it grows then how to stop it from growing.

They don't want it to, it's just that that's what cancer does.

Fuck cancer.

We may well be on our way to fucking cancer.

A woman I know professionally collapsed in her home recently. They took out a tumor the size of a goddamn baby. They claim they got the whole thing.

Which proves that 1984 (defined by George Orwell) will happen by 2084.
