We're hitting that age where health becomes a thing.

I shop at Whole Foods on occasion, because they have things that I like. I just wish that fewer douchebags shopped there. Every time, it seems like the place is full of...mental midgets.

(Ha! I've missed that word.)

They also didn't always have the screening options we have; many died quickly and brutally. The lady who would have been my mother-in-law (had she lived) was diagnosed in late September. She was dead by mid-December. She didn't 'believe' in doctors, you see.

I'm sorry about your friend, Monnie. Help her get through this.

I wish they'd stop lying and saying 40s is young. It's not. Seems to be the prime age, especially for the non chemo-reacting type. You're probably right, Pie, about the screening. But I didn't know anyone whose mom died either. Her poor daughter is 11/12, only child. awful. She's already had surgery, just starting chemo. ugh.

Sorry, I know I'm banging on, but if I can't here, where can I?

Fuck it.

He retired. Now they're worried he's going to piss about so much it'll raise the water table.

That sucks, Bruce. I think they've been moving the flood zones around here and talking about fixing some of the levees. I don't know what my parents pay...they live off one of the main canals that empties into the Mississippi River.
