Dear Clodfobble,

Please don't beat yourself up about this. It's not your fault. Retromingents are born, not made.

Ginger Rogers apparently claimed to do everything that Fred Astaire did, but in heels and backwards.

Retromingents of the world unite!

Well, first, there was about 1/2 cup of leftover black bean/tomato/avocado slurry, which was itself originally an amalgamation of leftovers.

Then there was vanilla ice cream.

Then there was a pear.

Now I'm hunting for more.

EDIT TO ADD: Leftover barbecue chicken thigh in the back of the fridge. Score!

Had the leftover half of the flatbread Mum made herself for lunch yesterday.
It was quite nice actually.

I had a roast beef and horseradish sandwich today.
I prefer it on granary bread (spread thinly with low fat mayo) but I bought this one and it was on white bread with, I suspect, marge.

Worked well for me though.

I often take in leftovers these days. or bagels.
But I am covering lunchbreak from 12.30 for a member of staff who is ill (long-term, hospital etc) so I only get 30 minutes. Sounds like ages, but once you have got the childer all washed up and said grace and sent down to the hall to eat it's often 12.10. And by the time you have queued for the toaster/ microwave/ panini press it's 12.20.

My sanger was all I had to eat today.
Til I filched some fishfingers during after school club.

I had scrambled eggs with black beans and rice. It was surprisingly good. (Or I was just super hungry.)

Lunch was a bite of this (lentil chili) and that (spelt salad with corn and peppers). Had to get some salad in while possible ... I will say, I finished the apple crisp. My all-time favorite!
