At least they changed the battery while it was open.

Look at Bruce, showing some skin!

I'd be curious to know how long that takes to heal. I still have scratches on my shins from doing some bushwacking in July. Faint red marks. They say you take longer to heal as you get older and I am a little surprised that my scratch marks are still there. And I'm young dammit.

On the hole, I'd rather not be in Philadelphia.

The original incision from 2013, actually two or double from 2013, was still visible.
For some reason scratches seem to be different from cuts though. I've had cuts (that weren't sutured) heal up and disappear, while scratches and scrapes hang on forever. Maybe for seven years that a complete skin replacement takes.

Good to see you taking care of yourself Bruce. I find healing a little unpredictable, I guess scar tissue is the wild card.

Yes, third time in the same spot gets tricky, but making it look like a pussy is cool. This morning having 5 o'clock shadow (stubble) on my chest is not.

I've just read that anyone with a pacemaker should not go within two feet of an induction hob when it's switched on.
Eminently sensible I suppose, but it would never have occurred to me.
What other avoidable hazards are there?

Should have read 'induction hob'. Suitably amended.

Top of the oven on which pots and pans are placed. No visible heat source eg gas, but pans and contents are heated by means of induced current.

That's not the best explanation, I admit, but I've got a couple of pans on the non-inductive hob! Must go!

The only cautions I got when it was installed in 2013 was be cautious of microwave ovens.

Oh, and because it's a combination pacemaker-defibrillator, if it shocks me, anyone I'm in intimate contact with would also get a pretty good jolt.
All I could do at that point is ask... was it good for you?
