Eye surgery

They put a gas bubble, laughing gas, in right eye the 23rd. OK next day. 27th not so good.
Back in AM, 28th for another try. Think she said something about freezing?

Injecting air or gas into your eye. A procedure called pneumatic retinopexy involves injecting a bubble of air or gas into the vitreous. Over the next several days, the gas bubble expands, sealing the retinal tear by pushing against it and the detached area that surrounds the tear. With no new fluid passing through the retinal tear, fluid that had previously collected under the retina is absorbed, and the retina is able to reattach itself to the back wall of your eye. Depending on where the retinal detachment is located in your eye, you may need to hold your head in a certain position for several hours in order to keep the bubble in place.

Sorry to hear, busterb. Do you have to avoid doing anything other than lying on the couch like you do after cataract surgery? Does it hurt as that bubble expands? (I would think it would) Hope you are feeling better and the procedure was a success!

Dr. did cyro-surgery in office 28th. Back tomorrow for a look see. I have some sight in top of right eye, bubble is getting smaller. Not sure if pin hole is fixed.

OK. Here's the scoop.
The 28th lady Dr. did cryo-surgery. They gave me a deep pain killer shot. As she was starting, She said" Hope this doesn't hurt too much."
I said " Hold up, we better have alot more going for us than hope."
Nurse said "That's a good line." Me "It's no damn line."

Today, the 1st, she did the cryo again. without the deep pain killer. Boy, the fun went south quick!
Was asked about spending the night as guest of UMC. Which means back to OR.
No thanks, I need someone to look after my pets.

So the 5th I need to have a driver, because I might go back to OR.

I did get a face down pillow today. I can also wash my hair, not washed since the 23rd.

I'm so tired of this crap, knocking shit over on table. Hell I've spilled more beer than drank.
Gladwrap, ezy-open resealable packages are so much fun.

I have a couple of ideas of how to show my Dr. how pain is relevant. Don't think either one will win FDA approvement.
One includes the dog's E-collar. That's enough, someone might steal my ideas.

I guess you must be able to see well enough to read the computer screen? Are you keeping your head in the right position? I'd have Cellar withdrawal too, but please don't mess with your vision if you are supposed to be lying face down right now.

BTW My doc & I have our junk together. When about finished today, she said" Try not to pass out or throw up. I said "How about I just piss on me and everything around here?"

Glatt. I can use the compute for a few minutes at the time. After a week of trying to sleep setting up, I welcome the chance to us the face down pillow.
