Good eye Zipp. You must do that "what's different in these photos?" thing a lot. I also noticed that the rivet in the handle just behind the trigger is round on the mk3 and on the 2245 it is D shaped.

I'll take them both. Can I get them gift wrapped?

Yea, I own a short action 300 win mag, basically a necked down 300 win mag. A Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation gun. I love it. I have never shot anything with it. It was more of a dream gun. My dream was always to go on an elk hunk. So I bought the gun on a whim. I put a $600 scope on a $800 gun. I am sure it can do the job but it sits in the gun safe waiting for the day. Anyway, the rounds are about $38 a box of 20. That was my only point. Cheers.

Merc, a guy I met the other week at Physical Therapy just left for an Elk hunt. I need to find out what business he's in.

Man, a guided hunt is expensive. $3500 to $5000 for a hunt. I will do one someday.

A guy at work today (a physical therapist, coincidentally) was having a going away party--he is moving to Alaska. We got to talking about manly man stuff and he told me about a local guy he knows who makes traditional longbows. I would love to get a traditional English longbow. Welsh archers could kill a combatant in full plate armor from 60 yards. With the Welsh archers, the English were known to defeat forces of ten times their size.

Shot placement.

But hey, if you miss a charging Grizzly than what?

I never go into the back country without a gun. Shit, I don't go to downtown Atlanta without one either.

I believe at one point every English male was required to practice archery on Sundays. So, yeah. Shot placement.

This guy has a whole series of photos and how to descriptions. He's made a lot of these.
