Well, it's definitely cooler. High today is 86 F. That may not seem like much, but boy is it nice.

No furnace yet.

I don't even really know what a furnace looks like, or what you're supposed to do with this mythical "heating oil" stuff. My heater is part of my central A/C. I grab the little switch on the thermostat and click it over from "Cool" to "Heat." Which is something I'll do when it gets to be about 60 outside, I suppose. We always have a lot of false starts around here--it'll drop to 55, then the next week be back up to 85, and this will usually happen several times before we really settle into the cold weather.

I just broke out the down comforter. It's gonna be so cozy under there tonight while my nose is cold.

We coulda used some heat today but ended up just staying out all day instead. I hope we have some false starts...
