He could pass for one of the Murphy brothers. At times.

GIS for Wilson Pickett

First music video? One of the first?

Quote:
THE COMEDY HOUR offered him the money to finance a new film he wanted to make in exchange for the right to change the original soundtrack from Beethoven's 5th Symphony to CLASSICAL GAS and air it on the show. As a “music video" it was first shown on THE SUMMER BROTHERS SMOTHERS SHOW (Glen Campbell was the host) in the summer of 1968.

The Master.

I have done what he does to the neck at 3:18, trying to get different effects and noises, but I have never done it that hard, to a guitar or bass I care about! Would you do that to your acoustic? If you weren't thinking about buying a new one the next day?

(I've really only done it on axes with bolt-on necks now that I think about it)

Thumbs up

Tommy puts on a magnificent live show.

In a building with superior acoustics it's magic.
Close your eyes and you can hear a whole band playing.
He's quite the showman and entertainer and according to Chet Atkins a
"Certified Finger Picker"
