Sideband has always been on 11 meters buddy!! (When I first got my radio in the 80s I had sideband (My 2nd radio did (Uniden PC 244))

Usually during the morning and afternoon 11 is open....... (If 10 and 12 are open then 11 is most likely also)

CB band is in 11 meters. So what is your point?

I did not know single side band was permitted on CB. Also did not know that frequency (or phase) modulation was permitted.

The question was when did SSB become legal in that band.

SSB has long been legal in the ham bands.

What channels are still in constant use? Last time I used CB, most channels were silent. If I remember, only 19 had constant activity. What is traffic like today?

Well I am hopefull to find out soon...... My antenna whip was blown off (Imax 2000) and I just got a new whip to put on it. (Havent done so yet)
