11/19/2002: More naked protesters

This one has been widely distributed recently and so IotD is late to the effort, but it's important that we have it anyway, because IotD is the place of record for naked protesters.

It's also quite wide, which will cause some of you to have to widen your browser windows, for which I apologize.

Also, thanks to Slithy Tove for passing it along.

What it is: Marin county (California) women, unhappy with the Bush administration's threat of war with Iraq.

"Remembering that tens of thousands of civilians have already died in Iraq as a result of US bombing and sanctions, these women are not convinced by Bush Administration fear mongering that one more person should die," organizers said.

The full story

I'm sure they feel they've done something. After all, their message has been spread far and wide on the net. But along with that message they have to put up with people like me taunting them. Not for their resolve, nor for their body type. I'm taunting them because they are incredibly naive.

Partly because the idea that sanctions have not worked is not really a good reason why war is unnecessary. But mostly because, if they did this in Iraq, they would be summarily executed with bullets to the head.

But usually the naked protestors are fairly hot. Check out the wide-load in the first 'E.' I guess fat chicks need some peace of the action, too.

Naked women protest Bush's foreign policy.. or, to put it another way, "bush against Bush".

One might say that it takes a lot of guts for "the fat chick" to participate.

I say she has a lot of guts, thighs and all the rest that goes along with the power of her convictions.

More guts than me.
I wouldn't do this................would you ? For what cause ?

I wouldn't do this

I wouldn't do this, because it just looks silly. Yes, one can argue that this will enable people to bring up the topic in conversation. However, I feel that I could accomplish more by supporting the Libertarian party. Actually working to put the right sort of legislators in power seems to me a more direct act, with better results.

Of course, too, I'm a guy, and would gross everybody out naked. ;-)

Their message (and personal sizes) notwithstanding, I don't think I'd do this because, well, I wouldn't want to lie naked on the grass. It seems like it would be really... itchy.
