Cellar Problems

I know weve had problems lately with the dos attacks as UT pointed out.
Now everything is running fine on my machine while visiting the cellar except for one thing:
I no longer get instant email notification. I have checked my settings over and over and everything is as it should be. Tony, did you change anything that would cause this? I'm thinking maybe it could be a problem with my mail program or even my machine. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, for a moment it really looked like they were sending themselves an email when their DOSing daemon was killed, so I shut down mail. Then I found that wasn't what they were doing but forgot to turn mail back on.

It's back on now.

Yeah , everything's cool now. Thanks UT. I'll have to hit the paypal link soon. You really do a GREAT job w/ the Cellar & I appreciate it. I panic when the board has problems, and don't know what the hell I'd do without it. No reason not to kill this thread, as all is well now. I just didn't know if it would have been appropriate to PM you about it.

Thanks again.
Long live The Cellar.

Is anybody else experience a significant slowdown? Seems like the cellar is loading terribly slowly today, with a lot of stutter ... I haven't noticed the same with any other boards (vBulletin) I visit. All of them are loading up right snappy

I wonder if UT and TW are having a once-and-for-all, loser-is-a-yellow-bellied-good-fer-nuthin packet-sniff off behind the scenes.

Yeah, I'm having a disagreement with my new internet provider. They believe they can cap all four of my systems at 1mb. I am explaining to them that for $125 a month I am supposed to have 1mb per system and there are 4 systems.

If they fail to agree to what their sales page says I will have to move again

Holy crap, I can't believe it has come to this. Under this guy's pricing the Cellar would cost about $600/month.

It looks like I have fooled them into providing a faster connection gratis temporarily.

Which means they can do it if they want, which means I have to educate the CEO with a 2x4. I believe I can get for $250 locally what they want to change $655 for. I know I can get it for $99 on the net.

Which reminded me, now that I have verified my balance in my Paypal account, to hit the tip jar.

So should everyone reading this post. Ooops, too late! Gotcha!

Hey, we can put rags on our heads and riot. If we burn his facility there wouldn't be any more Cellar. Boy, that would sure show him.
