Still no bagels. The receptionist is checking on them.

Improved productivity to offset the productivity lost to bagel and coffee (hopefully) meetings.

That was almost too much thread drift
The suspense was growing and becoming exciting
But then it got boring

Nice save, Glatt

My bagels are carb-free.

(This actually means I'm eating cream cheese with a spoon)

Holy crap, that was a long and boring meeting. I just got out.

And nobody ate any bagels. So I ate one even though I didn't really want one. Just to make the boss feel like they weren't a waste.

Yup I'm pretty sure that dropping the "with" is local.

We didn't say that in Harrisburg. I only began encountering it in college (Reading) and then with my ex-wife (Brookhaven) and J (Chester).

The Jersey people would say "I'm going up the mall!" (instead of to the mall)

That's ok UT. The WisCANson people say...drive BY the mall, instead of TO the mall.

I used to tease hell out of my ex..."gonna wave hi to it on your way past it?"

Why are you doing this?

Because I had an enforced day off of work today (48 quarantine due to vomiting virus) and it arrived in the post.

Basically, I was bored.

I am unfamiliar with this concept. Couldn't you have had a nice day out? Gone for a swim? Met new people?
