It depends. On cold mornings I stay in longer. If I shave my legs, that takes longer, too. If I'm really in a hurry, I'd say 5 - 10 minutes.

I answered with Jinx...7-10 unless I need to wash and condition my hair. Sometimes I shave too, but not my legs.

4-10 minutes. But I just got in from buying fancy new showerheads, so who knows what might happen to my shower time now

Don't move fast anymore. I have a radio in my shower so I tune into some soft rock or whatever tickles my fancy... so to speak. I take my time - no hurry. Sometimes I just stand there and let the hot water sooth me. I use the shower to relax in too.

Sometimes I even have company.

Depends on if there's shaving to do.

How the heck do you take take a one-minute shower? I sure wish I could do that--more time for sleep.

I've been working on getting my shower down to the most limited time. Without shortchanging any particular area.

It helps a lot to have an "illegal" shower head.

I hate my parents' shower.
I wish they didn't have one, so I'd have an excuse to take a bath.
It's a cliched European shower - no pressure at all, and every now and then it decides to change temperature - going from freezing to boiling (not literally) so you have to duck in and out of it mid-range.

Given a better shower I'd probably take longer.
In this one I only do the basics. Having short hair helps.

I use our upstairs shower and it sucks. Grit has clogged the inlet ports on the supply side of the shower valve, and I've tried over the years to take the valve apart, clean it, and put it back. But it drips inside the wall when I put it all back together. Must be a nicked o-ring or something. I think I've written about it before. We've got a plastic bag taped underneath the valve in the wall cavity, directing the drips outside the access panel onto a rag lying on the floor, where they evaporate.

The valve has finally accumulated so much grit that it's making the water do weird harmonic crap that gets the pipes vibrating like a freaking helicopter is about to land on the roof. You can adjust the temperature and try to get the harmonic vibrations to change or temporarily go away, but they always come back. The only temperature settings that don't sound like a helicopter is landing on the roof are scalding hot and too cool.

I broke down this past weekend and ordered a whole new shower valve and assembly from an online plumbing supply place. Maybe this weekend coming up, I will install it. I really hate doing plumbing though.

Everyone else uses the downstairs shower, which is beautiful and just works. I re-did that like 2 years ago.
