smoothmoniker brilliantly employs the RFN thread to give us all both a view of his present and a vision of his past. What a vision:

DanaC gets to the point, asking a simple question in the Michael Moore thread.

I couldn't find the post I was looking for by UT where he was talking about being a sys admin and said "it's good to be king unless something goes wrong" or something like that; which happened to me today when I was five minutes away from leaving to go to a doctor's appointment when the system exploded.

...or HOF this one:

I love you man. Even when I was being all harsh on you. Especially then.

I know, I know. I know what I'm doing, but y'all were all like "your doin' it wrong" ...

Do you ever read the editorial cartoons on The Onion, where the actual subject of the cartoon is the fictional cartoonist? The joke is that somebody would draw a cartoon like that and be serious. Not the actual cartoon, which doesn't say what the actual cartoonist actually thinks. My posts are like that, multi-layered...like an onion. Also...they stink, and they make you cry.

But you must admit, you tried hard to make it all about you back then. You'd go back to AG and say "hey look it's all about me other there!"

the HOF thread is all about me!

It wasn't accidental. I wanted to make sure everyone knew my name. Because I can't enjoy a messageboard as an anonymous schmoe. Count that as among my faults, if it's a fault. I'm not gonna come here to have conversations with complete strangers.

And...I don't remember going back to AG to say that, unless I did it to taunt you and then posted the link here. I do remember trying to recruit more people to come over here, and I still do that.

My biggest regret from that time was that the backlash caused a witchhunt against other AGers. When Steve brought me over here, we just jumped into our normal routine. It was too effective.

I can't improve on this post in any way whatsoever. You said it all, Clodfobble.
