Sundae's Christmas trip to London.

Sundae is spending Christmas in London with her parents.
Today's events include a boat trip along the Thames followed by Christmas Dinner.

She sent a few pics to me last evening and I'm posting them here on her behalf.
I'm sure that she'll add some narrative in a day or two.

In the past few seconds I've had a text from Sundae asking me to pass on her love and best wishes to everyone.

And now to the photos...

For someone who has had a tiring Christmas Eve journey and a trudge across London, she looks pretty happy and relaxed to me.

Cherry's Mum and Dad, if you hadn't already guessed.

Looking splendid in polka dot and what a smile!

Smiles all round again!

Goodnight!

I hope that there will be some pictures from the river trip to post here later.

Brilliant pics. That bottom pic - God she looks drop dead gorgeous in that shot.

Is it me, or is Sundae aging backwards?

I think she's aging backwards, as you suggest.

I, on the other hand, am aging forwards at an ever increasing rate. Ouch!

That's a good sign. Since she's been micro-planning this trip for months. And with the good news/bad news roller coaster she been riding, I was worried things would go to hell at the last minute. But even if something unexpected happens now, the smile is established. Excellent, thanks Carruthers, you are also a good egg..

And now for the river trip...

That's the London Eye, sometimes known as the Millennium Wheel, in the background.
It's widely believed to be powered by the inexhaustible supply of hot air from the nearby Houses of Parliament.

The walk from Westminster pier to Trafalgar Square took Sundae and parents past the Household Cavalry mounted guards in Whitehall.
Note the partially visible words of caution on the right-hand side of the second photo above.

I hope that there will be some more photos before the day is done and I'll post them ASAP.

Great pics! So glad this trip came together for Sundae and family. It looks like a lovely time for all.

Great pics, Sundae - I can just look at your Dad and bet that if I could get a couple drinks in him that he could tell stories for hours.

You and your Mom look great.

Oh, what's the story with the party hats?

Main and cheeseboard with a rather inviting piece of Camembert on offer.
