Lottery

If you won the lottery ($100 Million+), assuming you just finished:
1. Paying off all your bills
2. Buying a mansion
3. Buying a supercar
4. Spreading the wealth to loved ones

what would you do with the money?

Create some sort of educational foundation that promotes science to kids. Maybe free science summer camps in all major cities. We need more kids in this country going into science and math.

edit: Oh, and I assume the question means that I've already taken care of all the stuff I want to do personally, which includes lots of traveling for the rest of my life.

I would travel to places I've always wanted to go and maybe stay awhile (more than 1 week or 10 days)

New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland

I would fund my band, if that doesn't count already, then I would live in eerie seclusion for most of my life (when I wasn't out on tour).

Do they have Science Olympiad round there? It's a fantastic way to get kids into science, just in case you do win....

I would start a think tank. You know like the liberals, and conservatives have, only mine would be for solving problems. I'd hire a bunch of people, much smarter than me, to think real hard all day long. Their first project would be how to get people to stop putting babies in dumpsters. I can be having a great day, then I hear about another one.

I know I'm not supposed to talk about my supercar, but i just won the lottery. How can I not mention my supercar? When I was a teenager, and I saw some 40ish guy in a Corvette, or a Porche, I would think, what a waste. Why can't I have that? Now I'm a 40ish guy, and I could buy one, I'm not rich enough that I wouldn't be in real big trouble with the wife, but I could do it. What stops me, other that not wanting to be a pathetic 40ish guy in a Corvette, or a Porche is I work hard all week, and I don't want to spend my weekends washing, waxing , and maintaining it. I have a boat,I bought it at an auction for $100 it's not pretty, but it runs, and it floats. I don't want a new one that is all shinny. I've herd the saying that he who dies with the most toys wins. I think he who has the most toys dies of exhaustion. So I'm going to buy lots of cool cars with my lottery winnings. A new Corvette, a Porche, some muscle cars from the 60s, as long as I have enough money left over to hire someone to maintain them all.

I don't want a mansion, so can I substitute a large boat? And I wouldn't buy a supercar, just a nice Porsche Carrera Cabriolet. My needs are simple.

I'd spend a chunk on historic preservation. I hate how so many cool buildings around where I live are just left to rot, and end up being torn down.

i'd have wood shop that would make the new yankee woodshop look like a bake sale. and then i'd begin construction on a house like the winchester mansion.

Cool house. I saw something on TV about it a while back.

I used to want to live in a house like that. Until I saw the Grudge.

After buying the large country estate w/ huge horse barn and pastures...
After paying off the one credit card we have...
After frame-off restoration of my 1978 'vette...
After situating all of the relatives with homes/vehicles/college for the children...

...I'd like to fund a mobile vet spay/neuter RV for each state. Low cost vaccination/spay/neuter for everybody willing to bring their pet to the RV locations of various towns every week. Good jobs for Veterinary students fresh out of school that would like to travel the various states to decide where they'd like to set up practice...

Build a wing here at the college.

Start a full-tuition scholarship foundation for students who work and take care of themselves but aren't getting federal aid because they chose to not pop out 10 kids.

Restore one of the old buildings in town.

Travel, travel, travel.

I love your RV idea, hoof!
