March 16th, 2019: Cat Match Fever

Watch out for artist couples moving into your hood, they might be up to strange projects like revealing the secret foibles of cats at a bar.

Quote:
We’ve all been there, as the night goes on and things start to fray around the edges a little. You might get ‘a little intense,’ start to slur your words a bit, and eventually why you keep getting into these situations. These quirky pieces of matchbox art, created by Denver-based artist Arna Miller in collaboration with her husband Ravi Zupa, depict many of these common late-night bar scenarios with one vital twist, the subjects are cats.

Quote:
“Recently, $$$ pushed us to the unchartered territory of Commerce City where we bought a house. The previous owner left us five ducks and a goose, who have exceeded our expectations of awesomeness.” “We can make everything “in-house”—from cutting and sanding the boards that we mount the art on to printing the packaging we use to ship it.”

Question ~
I've been trying to keep the IOtD picture 12 inches wide, or less, thinking that would be a comfortable size to work with for most people.
I use a 24 inch screen so I can't tell. So tell me, is that size OK?

A couple things here...

1 -- Another splendid IOtD (curious, why does "Of" get capitalized but not "the"?).

2 -- I took print shop way back in the day when I was a wee baby Seamus (as SonofV likes to say, which is funny, cause it really wasn't that long ago in absolute terms.) and we made stamps. Not as elaborate as these, and not for three color prints. But seeing this IOtD brought back some pleasant memories.

3 -- Yes, xoB, your size is juuuust right.

4. An outstanding thread title, as well.

The first link has a link to cat man Mark Twain.

The second link has lots more of her work to marvel at, even some almost NSFW ones.
And ones you can buy, though a little pricy.

The size of the posts works well with my computer set-up. Keep 'em coming.

It's on the birth certificate that way.

Looks fine on a 20" monitor. Images are not quite 12 inches on a 20" monitor.

When is the last time ya used a match?

I used one back around Xmas/New Year. I'd lost my lighter, there were none at the shack, and there was a joint to lit. There's a big box of "Kitchen Matches", there (in the kitchen of all places). They are "Kitchen Matches", don't tell anybody, but, I used the match in the living room.
