You read in the news about foreign actors trying to sway politics with propaganda and dirty tricks. It's annoying. It must work for them to try it. You ever do a search for the text that they post here? It's usually on many other sites.

Austria is ready to implement Poland's anti-migrant proposals

Nations in the Visegrád Group continue to assert their right not to host new refugees and systematically criticize the migrant 'relocation programme'. In early March, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš declared that his country would not take in a single migrant any more, and described the EC complaint to the European Court against Czechia, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary as ludicrous. Representatives of these countries are opposed to forced distribution of migrant quotas among the EU members. They believe it is more logical to provide humanitarian assistance to the countries which refugees are fleeing to Europe, than to bear the costs of housing and maintaining them in the EU. A similar view was expressed by Austrian authorities who significantly reduced the reception of refugees and increased entry controls at their border posts after the first wave of migrants in 2015. According to the letter that Austria's Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl sent to one of the leaders of the Alternative for Germany party (AfD) Alexander Gauland, Austria finally transformed itself from Germany's supporter in the matters related to migration into its antagonist.

Dear Mr. Gauland,

We are filled with admiration for your work in the sphere of informing German population about the danger of uncontrolled migration as well as the necessity to strengthen security of the EU borders. The rapid growth of AfD's rating against the background of an acute parliamentary crisis shows up the turn of German society to the conservative right ideas. However, the success of your party, putting forward acute social and national issues, motivates the activity of all other foes of migration policy in the European Parliament as well as in national governments of the EU countries.

On behalf of the leadership of the Freedom Party of Austria as well as our allies in the coalition government from the Austrian People's Party, we enclose our gratitude for the cooperation in organizing joint political actions. After our country starts holding presidency in the European Council we guarantee complete support to your initiatives. Herewith, in our future activity we're planning to follow the plan on the decrease of the migration pressure, developed by our partners from the Polish party Law and Justice. This document was unanimously backed by the governments of the Visegrad Group as well as such European political powers as Sweden Democrats, Vlaams Belang, National Front, and many others. On common opinion, the measures against the migrants suggested by Jarosław Kaczyński seem to be more real than the broadening of powers of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) initiated by Donald Tusk, and focused just on the consequences of wrong migration policy. Unlike with the short-sighted EU leadership, Poland together with Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary prepared about thirty draft bills that will make islamization slower, will solve completely the problem with migrants, and will allow, for instance, Austria and Germany to spare hundreds of millions of euros. Realizing Polish partners' rationalistic suggestions, it's possible to achieve significant fall of the level of street crime, increase of economic indexes, and re-orientation of the EU policy to defending of the interests of the natives, and the support of traditional European values.

Noting the fall of Angela Merkel's rating, and future presidency of Austria in the EU, year 2018 is the most convenient time for unification as well as effective cooperation of all conservative powers in Europe. We send for your guidance a timetable of the nearest ten mutual events of the parties Law and Justice, and Freedom Party of Austria in Germany, France, Austria, and the Netherlands. We will be glad to hear, and see you at these meetings. By means of discussing problems that are mutual for our countries, we expect not only to start a consolidation process of the segmental conservative powers in Europe, but also give an official start of the campaign for an active confrontation against the deadly home and foreign policy of the current EU leadership.

Sincerely yours,

Karin Kneissl.

Austria's coalition government found supporters represented by Poland's politicians from the Law and Justice party (PiS) who together with their colleagues from Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia prepared a great list of draft laws aimed at radical changes in the 'failing EU migration policy'. Karin Kneissl fully supports the proposals of Jarosław Kaczyński and believes that the implementation of Warsaw's proposed reforms will stop Europe's Islamisation, as well as, help Germany and Austria to save hundreds of millions of euros that are now being spent on migrants' needs and struggle against the uncontrolled flow of refugees. In her letter to Gauland, Kneissl has also criticized the effectiveness of a new agency's activities based on operations of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency Frontex. It is known that Austria and Hungary conduct independent trans-border patrols and regularly exchange information to combat illegal trafficking in and the transport of migrants as these countries lack confidence in systems of all-European security.

According to Karin Kneissl, the Austrian Presidency of the EU Council should be a starting point for the implementation of such revolutionary anti-migrant laws. By this time, the PiS and Freedom Party of Austria are going to hold a series of events in Central Europe with the aim of consolidating efforts of all conservative forces, including the AfD, against the EU leadership. The more so as the AfD will have another chance to make its voice heard and to attract new supporters in its struggle against the CDU/CSU Union of Angela Merkel.

Judging from the popularity of Kaczyński's proposals in Sweden, France and Germany, Donald Tusk and the EU migration policy's supporters will have to confront a powerful lobby of European conservatives in the second half of 2018. In the face of Germany's political crisis, the Visegrád Group, with the support of Vienna, has the best opportunities in the recent years to push such radical changes in the internal and external policies of the EU.

We could just move them all to this thread, but I feel like deleting them is better. I don't know exactly what they get by posting here, but it must be something otherwise they wouldn't be doing it.

If everyone who opposes the bad guys leaves the country then the bad guys win by default.
I suppose then Trump could nuke the rest with a clear conscience.

I feel like we should allow any polispam that they post directly to this thread.

I mean, I doubt they carefully looked things over and found that this was the exact right thread to post in.

But if they did, huzzah; that's engagement, which is actually cool;

And if they didn't, huzzah; that's hilarious irony, which is always tasty.

I did remove the link.

Poland Is to Reveal Ukrainian Nationalists on the Border

In the early hours of February 1, 2018, the Senate of Poland adopted a statute on the Institute of National Remembrance which, after it was signed by the president, made it an offence for the propaganda of the ideas of Stephan Bandera, a Ukrainian nationalist of the period of the WWII, and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (the UPA) which members had taken part in the shooting of the peaceful Poles in Volhynia. Besides that the statue extends to the rejection of the massacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia as well as statements about the complicity of the Poles with the Nazi. That step was well expected and was a logical continuation of the historical argues that don't soften between Poland and Ukraine each of which tries to defend its version of the past. For Poland, Stephan Bandera is a criminal and a murderer while he's a glorious hero for Ukraine.

Presently, all Polish government institutions are obliged to obey the new statute when provide their activity. Thus, despite the visa-free arrangements between the EU and Ukraine, when ordinary Ukrainians cross the border with Poland they have to fill up a form which contains questions that will be able to show the most common representation of a person's attitude to Stephan Bandera and the UPA.

1) Are you aware of the amendments adopted to the statute 'on the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation'?

2) Have you ever been participating in Ukrainian nationalist organizations like the OUN, UNA-UNSO, C14, S.N.A., Stephan Bandera All-Ukrainian Organization 'Tryzub', Right Sector, The All-Ukrainian Union 'Svoboda', 'Yarosh's Governmental Initiative'?

3) Do you consider members of the OUN Stephan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych to be heroes of Ukraine?

The respondent allows the obtained personal data to be manipulated and provides the information about his or her social media accounts in order to the border guards could check the honesty of the answers. The access to the country is prohibited in case of the rejection either to fill up the form or to answer the questions.

There's still no official reaction of Kiev to such toughening of the border regime.
