Gayme show revelation

I haven't watched "Let's Make A Deal" since Monty Hall was the host but I was channel surfing this morning and got distracted when I landed on the show and left it there. I watched the show and saw one of the contestants, looking like a poster child for backwards country hick. The current host was asking him if he wanted to keep the prize he'd won or trade it in. The man looked into the audience and what he said next blew me away. "My HUSBAND of 16 years is telling me to keep the trip!" And then they showed his husband in the audience cheering him on. After mentally kicking myself for my judgment, I thought about how far we HAVE come since Monty Hall.

Instead of admitting you made an arse of yourself how about saying "yes, well done, you spotted today's deliberate error".

(Kinda spoils the effect when you fuck up more than once in a day though)

No no, there's no shame in being corrected when I'm wrong... I mean testing.

I saw the opposite in effect on a UK quiz show a month or so back. A male contestant said he wanted the prize money for his upcoming wedding to his partner, Charlie. He immediately corrected himself and said "Charlotte", perhaps realising that the name might give an inaccurate impression.

I have a colleague called Charlie and she's a practitioner of the lesbotic arts.

mind you apart from sitting down to pee she's really one of the lads in every sense (goes to football matches, drinks pints of beer, does sex only with girls,.........)

....
