You're no millionaire but you're not on welfare either. You earn a living , pay your bills, even take a vacation some years...
more often before the kids but that's ok.
So when you see the numbers the IRS and Social Security claim you made you wonder where did it go?

Excellent OP, Bruce! As Griff noted, "Every curve tells a story." Some more than others.

Now that I'm more than halfway old (I'd be both shocked and pissed if I lived beyond 80) and starting to crap out physically, I'm forced to look at these averages with an entirely different perspective, mostly because I still think and act like I'm half my age.

Live hard, die young . . . ish.
