I PASSED!!!!!11111!!!

my motorcycle basic rider course. Now I can get a motorcycle endorsement on my license. It was the most horrendous three days. Plus it was perfect summer weather and I spent it in the sun encased in long clothes and a helmet. But I did it. It was scary and challenging and I've never ridden before and I'm an old old woman, but I DID IT. And the best bit .... my pass slip number is 666

...a little mama/daughter bonding -she didn't want to do it alone but might want to bike in Florida and will be busy when she gets there and this course is subsidized by a grant..... I just kinda thought I might try ...one day... and have learned to do things when the opportunity presents or you ever will.....

I was the second worst student on the course. The worst one was "counselled off". It was a pretty toxic dickhead male environment, TAFKAPG and I were the only female riders in our group by the end. Out of 50 riders in the two groups, there were -I think- 6 women. I'm so glad she was there. If I had done it alone, I would not have made it. And darling BajaBoi came out shoe shopping with me last night to buy better boots in which I could feel the shift pedal clicking better (turns out -after trying both old and new boots on his bike, it was at least as much an issue with the bike I had at the course as it was me but....) Also....... TAFKAPG.... got ZERO points on her road skills test (points are bad). She ROCKED IT!

So cool. Great bonding, more skill, license for fun.

keep your head on a swivel, look at side mirrors, pay attention to your lane position, expect stupidity. and most of all, keep the rubber side down.

Yay!
