Mountian Dew

I came across a site the other day that freaked me out. What it does is determine how many Mountian Dew's it would take to kill you. Sad that too many can kill you. I love Mountian Dew
I found out it would take about 175 cans in one setting to kill me. I dont think thats too bad.

Here's the link just in case you like Mountian Dew as much as me and need to know

You can actually die from drinking too much water, too. I forget how much, though.

The actual amount varies with age, body weight and chemistry. (this is my excuse for not posting an amount. I'll ask a doctor tomorrow, assuming I remember to do so).

The condition known as "water intoxication" or "hyponatremia" results from drinking so much fluid that the amount sodium in the blood is too diluted to keep body function going. You see the condition in runners who don't replace enough electrolytes (through the ever-popular sports beverages) and in some mental patients who have a condition called "psychogenic polydipsia" which means "drinks too much damn water." Occasionally we have someone on the unit that has to be monitored for drinking water, which is a pain in the ass ... because they need to be restricted from areas with water coolers and faucets.

How long is a "sitting"?

I don't think it would take quite that many, actually. The spike in your blood sugar would get you long before the hyponatremia would shut down your kidney function.

Found it ... >2 gallons of water/day, with less output than input.

Hyponatremia won't kill you if you Do The Dew -- it's got 75mg of sodium per 12-oz can.

208? I'd be clawing the walls like a cat after about five though. That much sugar and caffeine would flip me out.

I used to drink Mountain Dew Code Red until I found out that it (as well as regular Mountain Dew) contain Brominated Vegetable Oil (BVO). That's basically Bromine and vegetable Oil. Bromine is very bad stuff, it is used for things like sanitizing swimming pools. They say that once it enters your body, some of it finds a home in your fat cells and stays there forever. Lemme see if I can find a link...

Ah, here's one.
