Gas Prices

Went up 30c overnight here. Is it 9/11 related?

Maybe they're trying to fleece the U of M fans driving to the Notre Dame game....

Maybe worried about a Koran burning, setting off a disruption.

I don't care... I burned a copy of the Koran yesterday.

On our vacation, the most we paid for gas in Utah was 3.38 and it was never under 3.00 for the whole trip, couple days later, we were back in Virginia paying 2.38.

Apparently the gas price hike was semi-local and caused by a break in a pipeline in Illinois

Well, it took me some time to convert every thing from gallon to liter an then USD to Euros.

Gas in the US costs around .50 EUR/liter.

Here in France, we're well over 1.20 EUR/liter for unleaded gas. Diesel is around 1.10 EUR/Liter

....and it's tripled since I moved here from the UK ten years ago. When we first got here, it was under a dollar a gallon -unbelievable.

Come guys, when I started driving the gas was $ 0.25 per gal.
Cigarettes were $ 0.25 per pack

I think if you plot the price of gas against the price of cigarettes you get a straight line.

Gulftane was 18.9, and cigarettes 22cents, a quarter in a machine with three pennies in each pack.
