What's the point?

What's the point of life if all life must die?
What's the point of galaxies, time and space, and the universe; just to exist? What are they actually accomplishing? Isn't a void more sensible? More efficient?
What's the point of anything if all things must come to an end?

Omniscient dwellars (you know who you are) tell me the answers.
And then tell me the question to the answer 42.

The point is that existence exists.

"Point" is an imprecise word. In order to apply it to life, galaxies, time, and space, you would have to get pretty figurative.

When you apply it to stuff that a person might do, then the point is up to that person.

And the question is "'What do you get if you multiply six by nine?"

who says there's a point? And whose point is there to be ascertained? Yours? Gods? the Cosmos? There may be more than one point.

Find yours.

Having a point is a human construct. The universe doesn't need a point or grand scheme of things because it doesn't have any doubts, nothing to prove. It isn't so full of itself that it thinks it's destined to do or accomplish anything. It accepts it just is.

The answer to 42 is you obviously went outside to play like your mother told you instead of turning into a geek.

Not quite sure how to interpret that post, was it an insult or you telling me I'm young and you're wise? Superiority complex, talking down to me, it is such an ambiguous post, what did you mean.

I just used a quote from The Big Lebowski and used it to fit it in the conversation.

My point is that the universe is nihilistic in nature, which is natural since all evidence shows that the universe is inanimate.
