It was a good game. I am a little disgusted in the NFL that you can watch a team score a touchdown, and then you have to wait. And wait. And wait some more to find out if they really did score the touchdown you saw them score. Or the catch you saw them make.

I was actually pretty tired, so I went up to bed after I saw the Eagles score their last touchdown, but before the refs confirmed it. As I went up the stairs and my wife and son were still watching the game, I heard Chris Colinsworth muttering that he gives up. He had no idea if it was a touchdown or not that he had just clearly seen from multiple angles replayed half a dozen times in slow motion. Perfect view of the play from multiple angles, and the rules are so confusing now that you don't know if it's a touchdown.

I'm glad the Eagles won. And the game didn't drag on too much after I went to bed so it was only a short time later that I learned from my son's whooping that the Eagles had won.

That's officer, Mark Lapenta, of the 22nd District.

Well from Cellar member Kirk the tuba players site, he linked Deadspin's page of Things Philadelphians Did, and half way down the page a post by Robert Moran titled "High-fived Police" in which he identified Lapenta.

edit- And here's the moment of victory...
