The Smiths. How soon is now, from the Meat is Murder album.

This band was the big thing when I was growing up in Manchester. The guitar riff on this song, is, for me, the sound of 80's Manchester.

Ooooh. I used to love the Cure! When I was at 6th form college they were what the 'outsiders' listened to. Which begs the question: at what point are there enough outsiders in a sub-group, for those outsiders to become insiders?

I don't believe I've ever heard a song speed up that much. The drummer starts it way too slow for the groove, and they spend the rest of the song making up for it.. until by the end it's twice as fast as when it started, actually too fast for the groove. Maybe they did it on purpose.
