My new seat came yesterday. Corbin makes them custom. you get to select the color of the seat, the sides, the piping, the studs: none, chrome or black, and they build it and ship it in about 30 days. The things I've read say it extends the time you can ride before your ass hurts from 1 hour to 3 or 4. I'd be ecstatic with 2. Took a short ride last night, but it was cold out... I love the look though... Was not SURE the red piping would look right, and that the color would match.... (I changed from bright red to oxblood at the last minute) But, it seems to match pretty well. I am pleased.

The red matches fine because one is high gloss and the other matte. You made the right choice, it looks great.

One word:

Semi rigid liner

Gives 'em a little form.

oh, not the shape I have coolers that fit right in there if I want em squared out.... It's the color. They are kind of green grey black.... now the seat is so pretty, the bags look like hell. I will have to see about getting some new black bags with the red piping or some other accent ....so it looks like it matches.

Meanwhile, black boot polish, and LOTS of elbow grease will make a big difference!

Also leather dye, not just polish. Dye changes the color much more.

Looks bitchin. Use common sense on the polish/dye. Test the color. V should be the man on methods...

H.L. Mencken, the noted Baltimore author and journalist, witnessed nine hangings, including the 1926 execution of Richard Reese Whittemore, alias “The Candy Kid,” a gangster of some renown who killed a prison guard during an escape from the pen. “Hanging one scoundrel, it appears, does not deter the next,” Mencken later commented. “Well, what of it? The first one is at least disposed of.”

Wrong thread?

There's thread drift, and then there's thread alien abduction...

No, what I wanted to tell you is H.L. Mencken was in favor of capital punishment.
