But he's thinking about it...

9th, if she's interested, and you don't mind drama (and oh yes, there will be drama), then go for it. These are the years for learning and experiencing life to the fullest, after all. IMO if you play it too safe now, it may come back to bite you even harder later on.

But please feel free not to take my advice.

I think I've gotten comfortable with the idea of going for it if the opportunity arises. I'll probably ask him why he dumped her the way he did, but I'll be watching more for certain things like "I found out she had been cheating on me for weeks", or other big road blocks. If it's a bunch of shit slinging then I'll just ignore it.
As for the awkwardness, if she's still angry enough to not want to risk bumping into him, then I have no problem obliging her on that. It's not like my dorm room has ever been much of a center of my life to this point anyway. If she doesn't care, but he does, I don't give a damn. My guests are my business.
Yeah, there's the potential for drama, but only if people get juvenile. Since I don't have an appetite for it I'll walk away and stomp on it if it follows. Besides, the potential for drama seems like a really cowardly reason to back off.
