Bland but smelly. I recall my dad cooking up some horsemeat one time (can't remember why, I think he was using it to feed the dog) I seem to recall it stank to high heaven as it cooked.

Well....I honestly would look to what my Da does as any indication of what people do over here, he's a tad eccentric. Generally speaking horsemeat isn't well regarded by Brits. But...he cooked it that one time.
