3/10/2005: Record surf
First they rode it out... Then their friends jumped on, a bunch of World Championship Tour surfers and locals surfers... and they rode it, the world's longest surfboard, and set an unofficial Guinness World Record of 47 surfers. "...On the 40-foot board shaped by Gold Coast shaper Nev Hyman at Snapper Rock on the Gold Coast, Saturday, March 5, 2005. The record attempt is part of the 'Tsunamirun,' a charity set up to raise funds for Tsunami victims." |

I can't decide if a surfing-themed charity for the tsunami is appropriate, creepy, or both...

You can see a rope on the way out, too.

Strange that rope isn't trailing but seems to be leading.

Sandra[/quote]Hey, Seattle qualifies as "West" of a lot of other places, and we have this.
OH well--I am from Montana--Belgrade, actually. We have things like canoes & kayaks but I haven't seen a lot of racing sculls around. I do know there is a lady over in Helena that does a lot of it. Sandra |

Who's the lucky one to have the string attached to his leg so you dont
loose the board when you fall into the water. |
