Ah, first posts. Here's mine. Subject? Correct. Politics! hahahhaaha... I was asked "Had you been reading the cellar before you joined?" Uh, yeah. About five minutes.

I think I must have lurked for almost a year before I joined, then I didn't post until I was sure I wouldn't get flamed by dave. I don't remember my first post, but I know I was nervous about participating for a long time.

My nine-year anniversary doesn't come up until May. Evidently this was my first post.

I found my way here via slashdot. I spent months here only reading the IOTD before wandering around to the rest of the site.

Dunno how others did it, but I went to google and used

"site:cellar.org dar512"

Then set the search dates to somewhere around your join date. (On the left Show search tools>Custom Range>...)

Neat tip. I always wondered what my first post was.

It was in this thread.

I had been lurking for an unknown time, but long enough to want to contribute, because I sent an IotD to UT which he used in April 2003. I joined in July 2003. And my first post was September 2003.

Your welcome! You'll see at the bottom of the thread that I returned to the scene of the crime much later to throw in a comment.

I remember making a post about "the red headed league" and getting a pm from Wolf, so I'm not really sure.

I was bent out of shape about the right to keep and bear tomatoes, if I'm not mistaken.

I can't figure my first post [too lazy] but I think it was a vid in politics and immediately I was set upon as a spammer. I lurked here for years before posting.

When I searched google what comes up is Nirvana of course and then my self righteous bitch sub title.

My first post was also my first (and maybe only) IoTD contribution (Orangutans and Tigers).

It also contained my first movie quote.

Awww, Nirvana. I see I was nice to you in that first thread.

Really? Ms Meanie who drives everyone away? Who would've thunk?

I can't find my first post. It only goes back 500. How'd you all do that?

Post #18 has the instructions. It's a special Google search.

Oh, thanks.

I can't get that search tool to do anything. It's clickable, but nothing happens.

I went to advanced search and I see no custom range spot.
