I don't like how the severe cold has burned through the heating oil, but I secretly like the snow. It keeps things interesting, and it really looks great for a while. I love the change in seasons, because all the time is different.

For some reason I don't mind shoveling out this winter. I hated that task when I was in my upper-middle class existence. Now, it's a challenge, accepted.

Of course I say that now, 4 hours before the big one hits.

I don't like the bitter cold we've been having off and on, but a heavy snow would be pretty cool.

Ice, though, would suck.

We have snow, ice, people stuck on roads for HOURS and of course, a car on fire. And it's supposed to start all over again tomorrow evening.

They are already forecasting for power outages.

The best was watching the plow trucks throw salt ON TOP of the snow WITHOUT using the fucking PLOW on the front to clear the highways!!

Wish me luck - I didn't do as much prep with the groceries, but I have plenty of food.

The heavy snow part of this storm is right on the edge of hitting us. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

NSFW - language

Back in the '80s there were a number of rolling magazine shows for children/ tweens/ teens. Some better than others.
I used to watch Going Live when I was far too old to do so. It didn't even have the cool appeal of SM:TV Live, which came a few years later (and trounced the BBC shows so badly that they only show cookery programmes on Saturday mornings now).

So imagine my excitement when a blah band called Five Star were asked
live
on-air
on a viewer phone in
"Why are Five Star so fucking crap?"

Phone call was cut immediately.
I laughed myself silly.

So my question today, in honour of that caller, is why is [website that would get me in trouble if I named it] so fucking crap?

It's our internal work website.
I want to have a days holiday. One day. I am entitled to book holiday.
Crash, crash, freeze.
"Your system does not support this yap yap yap" - yes it does, it actually exceeds the basic you've stated.

Click on this, no response.
Click on that, crash.
Repeat until bloodied.

Oh for the days, those happy days! when you wrote on a piece of paper and gave it to a person, those glorious days!
I will have to go in tomorrow, on my day off (a scheduled day off, not annual leave) to use a work computer, to try to book a FUCKING DAY OFF.

FUCK.
Also add piss, cunt and shit to that seeing as I am ranting.

Oh, the day I am trying to book off is Mothers Day.
So it's late notice on my part, probably over-booked-off-already and anyway I scratched wrist so hard yesterday just because it was itchy that I gave myself a bruise which everyone knows is blood pooling under the skin, so, life is unfair

Yesterday it was traffic. Fuckers doing under the speed limit in the overtaking lane. I think they all had full moon fever.

Today, it's just life in general. Mostly to do with my husband I suppose. Just grumpy in general. I think I'm just tired.

Oh, and also, I with they would hurry the fuck up and finish building the fucking house next door. It's been going on for months now.

I've a feeling if they finished the house next door today, it wouldn't help. That and the traffic are just things to bitch about, not the problem. I hope you figure out what it is, (I suspect you already have). and more importantly, find a solution.

Oh yeah, you're probably right Bruce. I just don't want to face the inevitable yet i suppose. Maybe that's being dramatic, but life goes on and I just focus on the kids and try to do stuff for myself.
