See the baby Thomas,
he weighs 5 pounds 1 ounces,
he is so cute and pink,
I wonder if he bounces?

Does this mean you have to go to shudder NJ to see him?

For a 2month premmie baby he looks so good! no weird wrinkly pink bits and lots of weight on.

My own belly full of arms and legs is 33weeks old now (which is also possibly going to be a Thomas!) so I guess it would look very similar to this baby... interesting. thanks for the pic sheldon.

Wait, what? Did I miss this earlier, or did you keep yourself all lurker-quiet about it? Congratulations, Sparkz!

5lbs is a very decent size for a preemie!
Love to all involved and congrats to you.

Re Great or Grand - stick with Great.
I was fonder of my Great Aunt Alice (now deceased, the only one of the five - how bad is my luck!) than I ever was of my Nan. See, we got around the Great bit there

This is what comes of having older sisters you see.
My niece might do it to my bro yet...

I love the idea of being a Great Aunt. I'd love that. I know I would. I'd have to grow my heair and learn to put it in a tight bun...and get me some pinch nez glasses...and be completely scatter brained. Actually, I think I have the last bit covered...

LOL, lurker hush is my specialty thanks for the congrats tho - doesn't feel like I have done much yet though..

Re: the "Great" debate - i like the great title. but for grandparents i like grandad, pop and nanna. I guess it makes a lot of difference what you grew up with and the fondness you have developed through your own experience of titles.

I've always loved the title "nonna" for a nan. i think this is an italian term, and i'm not italian so we probably wont be using it but i do think its very "warm and cosy".

Perhaps we need to come up with some new grandparents titles. Traditions have to start somewhere right?
