Mr. Optician

Hey you, yes you.

First, let me apologize for being rude and not say hi but just come here for help. Hopefully Mr. Optician (sorry, I think it was Spex?) can help me answer this question. I need to answer ALL of 34 questions to get credit on this assignment and this is the last question. I have about 1.5 hrs before I go to work and until 11pm eastern time to turn in. I've spent soooooooooooo many hours doing the assignment that I don't want to not get credit. Can someone please help me?

question:
A patient wearing a 43.00D base curve, 9.0mm diameter, 7.0mm optical zone diameter requires a change to a 9.5mm diameter with a 7.5mm optical zone diameter. To keep the base curve corneal bearing relationship the same, the new base curve would need to be:.....

I know it's steeper, but how to find the exact amount? Is there a way to find it or is "steeper" the answer?

Thanks in advance!

I move to waive the "we don't do homework questions" for this user; I think she should be grandmothered in.

Quizlet says the answer is 42.50D. (About 2/3rds down the page.)

Thanks! Now I'm going to try to find out how to get that answer. These questions tend to sneak up onto tests. Also, one of the requirements is to put the page number of where you found the answer. So, I also need to understand the process, so I can pinpoint where in the book to point to. However, having the answer is half the battle! :-D

Sorry, best I can suggest is try the "Learn" link at the top of the quizlet page. That will take you through whatever lesson the quiz question came from--but you will admittedly have to slog through the rest of the lesson as well, which is probably no better than just re-reading the book.
