Change of Tastes

My desire to drink alcoholic beverages of any kind has fallen to zero.

No bad hangover or event or trend before hand. Just fell to zero.

Maybe it's the cost of good booze now days.

Any other experiences like this in the group?

Booze seems to have been replaced with a great desire for raw milk.

The more the better. Pasteurized but NOT homogenized.

That delicious, slightly yellow and sweet, fresh from the cow type of milk.

Not white water which is what most of the store bought milk is.

You looked healthy in your pic, maybe your body is defending itself. Two nights in a row I dreamed about the goats maybe my body misses those nutrients. I don't miss having to put in hay but I do miss having cows and goats around. I don't think my body would know what to do with alcohol now.

Sure it would, I'll bet it could come up with something stupid and/or dangerous in no time. That seems to be built it like a safe deposit box.

True enough, I'd put on 50 pounds and start crashing cars.

Just noticed that there was a typo here, what I meant to write was;

My desire to drink NON alcoholic beverages of any kind has fallen to zero.

Even water gets a shot of high test something.

Sorry for the error.

Going back to finish some booze now.

We raised young cattle when I was a kid. 160 acres and usually around 25 head at a time. I was also on the hook at my Uncles dairy so I threw a lot of bales every summer.

I see.

I'm very fond of that type of operation until getting off the couch comes into play.

It's a lot more work than one can see from the outside.

That's one of those jobs/careers that you have to literally be married to. Ain't no days off in dairy farm work.

Sure there's days off you just have to spend a few weeks buttonholing, threatening, and/or blackmailing, someone into covering for you.

The farm I worked in CT had a wedding reception at the farm for one of the owners sons. They'd take turns dancing and running the milking machines.
Also a fresh sears catalog in the outhouse for everyone but immediate family.
The color pages are nice to look at but don't use them.
